These Complementary Therapies reflect a
broad range of healing philosophies, approaches, and
therapies. The choices offered here arose from my own search
for an effective, authentic, holistic response to pain and
the longing to be whole. Because I believe that health
generates from a balance on all levels, these modalities
seek to address your whole being, including physical,
mental, emotional and spiritual aspects.
You can utilize these therapies in a
variety of ways. You may use them alone, or to support
conventional, mainstream treatments, in what is referred to
as an integrative approach. An increasing number of
physicians are supportive of this emerging paradigm that
provides broad support and nurturing to their patients.
Examples include using Reiki to reduce stress while you are
participating in psychotherapy, CranioSacral Therapy for
headaches while receiving medical treatment for migraines,
and Alexander Technique Lessons for chronic back pain as
part of an orthopedic treatment program. Complementary
methods are not provided to diagnose or directly treat
medical conditions, rather their focus is to reduce or
eliminate symptoms while supporting your body's ability to
self-heal, thereby improving your well-being and quality of
life.
I hope you'll browse through this
information and feel free to contact me with your
questions. [ JRJLEE
